A MODIFIED DOCUMENT
MODIFIED is an art and performance space in Phoenix, Arizona. It's goal is to bring together artists of all forms under one roof in a city that has not yet learned how to support or truly appreciate the arts. Modified has been host to everything from visual arts, film, theater, performance art and poetry to jazz, classical, avant garde experimentalism, goth and industrial music. What you'll find at Modified most of the time, however, is a young and exciting indie rock scene. In the last two years, the indie scene in Phoenix has virtually exploded; there are a great number of bands that play at Modified--as well as all over the city-that have proven over and over again the strength and depth of the talent in this city. The only ingredient missing from our scene, in comparison to others around the country, is exposure. Hopefully with this compilation, we can bring this scene just that. This is one more step in our attempt to bring more attention to the bands that have already found a home at Modified, but deserve the attention of the entire country.
